YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan has issued a message of congratulations on the 20th anniversary of the Public Administration Academy of the Republic of Armenia.

“We have a clear and achievable vision for the country’s development, which can be accomplished by creating a public service system that is in tune with the demands of the time.

“The second-generation reforms in the public service system [of Armenia] are impossible to implement without the formation of an effective system of governance, without the necessary personnel. In this regard, I underscore the activities of the Public Administration Academy.

“Each and every member of society in Armenia needs to feel protected and respected, which largely depends on the quality of the services provided by the state-run and local government institutions.

“It is the objective of us all to have a quality public service, but this is impossible to have if we do not have a quality public servant.

“Today, the Public Administration Academy graduates comprise a large number in the public service system, and they have proved the need for the existence of this institution,” President Sargsyan’s message specifically reads.
