YEREVAN. – Arayik Tunyan on Monday was elected member to the Constitutional Court (CC) of Armenia.
A total of 65 National Assembly MPs voted for and three others cast their ballots against Tunyan’s nomination to this post.
Prior to being elected to this office, Arayik Tunyan was Head of the Legal Department at the Staff of the President of Armenia
NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan had nominated Tunyan to the aforesaid position.
Arayik Tunyan will replace CC Judge Valeri Poghosyan, who leaves office as a result of turning 70 years of age.
