YEREVAN. – Armenian parliament's leadership is ready to hold debates on the issues worrying the opposition and entire society, Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said responding to Nikol Pashinyan.
During the parliament session on Monday opposition MP highlighted necessity of holding parliamentary hearings in connection with the statement by Kazakhstan president Nazarbayev and tense situation on the border with Azerbaijan.
“Parliamentary majority believes it is better to hold debates without media. Discussion of such issues in this format is not expedient. As to the statement made in Astana, we should understand the difference between talks and public statements. This was stated by President Sargsyan as well. Nevertheless, if our colleagues have questions, we are ready to hold debates,” Sharmazanov said.
