YEREVAN. – The Armenian MFA was the venue Monday for the signing of an agreement between the Governments of Armenia and Japan.  

Pursuant to the agreement, Japan will provide a grant to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

Accordingly, the Armenian party will receive the products of Japan’s small and medium-sized enterprises, and these products’ worth will be equivalent to 200 million Japanese yens (approx. $1.93 million).

The agreement was signed by Armenia Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Haykaram Mkhitaryan, and Japanese Ambassador to Armenia Takehito Harada, the MFA press service informed. 

After the signing ceremony, Armenia Deputy FM Sergey Manasaryan received the Japanese diplomat.

The interlocutors discussed bilateral relations, and stressed that the opening of the Embassy of Japan in Armenia will give new impetus to the development of cooperation between the two countries.
