Georgian Foreign Ministry and Ambassador of Azerbaijan Azer Huseyn refused to inform detains of the meeting in the foreign office following the incident at Baku airport.

According to media reports, Georgian MPs Irma Nadirashvili and Zurab Japaridze were detained and searched at the airport in Baku.

The Ambassador was summoned to the Georgian foreign office for explanations, but left the building without comments, Azerbaijani media reported.

Earlier Georgian FM Maia Panjikidze said they had sent a note to Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
