YEREVAN. – The matter of the use of the Sarsang Reservoir—which is in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR)—is put on the agenda of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) session, which will be held between June 23 and 27.

Non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party National Assembly Faction Secretary Naira Zohrabyan, who is also a member of the Armenian delegation to PACE, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am

In her words, Azerbaijan managed to have the PACE Bureau instruct the Social Affairs Committee to prepare a draft on the reservoir.

“The Azerbaijani side submitted unsubstantiated information that the NKR authorities are blocking the flow of water from the Sarsang Reservoir and, as a result, its adjacent Azerbaijani lands are not irrigated,” Zohrabyan said.

The Armenian MP added that she spoke on this subject matter with the NKR Prime Minister, and that, at the PACE session, she will offer several proposals in connection with the reservoir.
