YEREVAN. – The representatives of Armenia's political parties are not interested in foreign policy issues, publicist Zaruhi Hovhannisyan said during the round-table discussion on Monday.
She is convinced the politicians do not really care whether Armenia will go towards EU or Eurasian Economic Union.
“They are engaged in preserving their seats in the parliament,” Hovhannisyan said during the discussion.
The publicist believes this is the reason for “controversial and vague position of the MPs concerning European and Eurasian integration”.
As regards accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, the expert said economically Yerevan is not ready for this and the republic may “once again become an instruments in the hands of Kremlin”.
