YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Monday received Patriarch of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem, Archbishop Nourhan Manougian.

The interlocutors discussed church issues, close cooperation between the church and Armenian state, activities of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem as well as the role of church in the life of Armenian people,  president's press service reported.

President Sargsyan underscored the role of Jerusalem Patriarchate in preserving the cultural heritage. Given the unique mission of the Armenian Apostolic Church for the Armenian people, the President reiterated Armenia's readiness to assist the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
