YEREVAN. – Armenia's Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan regrets that competent and honest personnel are leaving the prosecution system.

Summing up the work of Prosecutor's Office, Kostanyan said the structure underwent structural changes, which implies a transition from work on types of crime to work on prosecutorial functions. Thus, multistage filtration system has been created.

In terms of fighting against corruption, Gevorg Kostanyan stressed that at the Prosecutor’s Office corruption is not of a systemic charecter.

However, he did not rule out the possibility of individual cases. Gevorg Kostayan promised to act to the fullest extent of the law to fight corruption. At the same time he noted that such cases have not been identified so far.
