Former Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili is confident that Belarus, Armenia and Azerbaijan will express willingness to join the EU in a while.
Even the Georgian opposition that came to power has joined “my pro-European policy line”, he said in an interview with Le Temps.
“In Ukraine the idea becomes popular even in Russian-speaking east. The paradigm is changing,” Saakashvili said.
The European integration process will be long and tough, he believes.
“In medium and long-term perspective Belarus, Armenia and Azerbaijan must make steps toward EU partnership. They will all join EU in some time,” Inopressa quotes Saakashvili.
