A group of Cypriots has filed a war crimes complaint against Turkey at the International Criminal Court.

They ask to launch an investigation into Turkey's crimes committed in the territory of the Republic of Cyprus, “in particular the growing number of Turkish settlements in the occupied lands”, ITAR-TASS reported.

The lawsuit has been filed by Cypriot European Parliament member Costas Mavrides and association called Cypriots Against Turkish War Crimes. The group unites refugees who were forced to abandon their homes as a result of Turkey's armed invasion.
