U.S. is going to continue to work with Turkey on a whole range of issues, though Ankara did not join the other members of Security Council on sanctions against Iran, U.S. Assistant Secretary Philip Gordon told in an interview with Kim Ghattas of BBC TV.

However, Washington does not intend to mix up these problems with the Armenian Genocide issue. “I don’t think we should be mixing up issues that don’t have anything to do with each other. We have a wide-ranging relationship with Turkey. We’ll be taking each issue appropriately, one at a time,” Philip Gorodon said, commenting on a remark whether administration will support Armenian Genocide bill in Congress to punish Turkey.

“The overall relationship is inevitably affected by the way the countries see each other. We want to preserve a favorable image of Turkey in the U.S., he added.
