Russian Foreign Ministry expressed deep concern over sharp escalation of situation in the Karabakh conflict zone that led to considerable human losses.

“We extend our condolences to the families of those killed. We consider the events of recent days as a serious violation of ceasefire agreement and stated intentions to achieve settlement by political means,” the Russian side said in a statement.

Russian Foreign Ministry noted that further escalation is unacceptable, and urged all conflicting parties to show restraint, renounce the use of force and to take immediate measures to stabilize the situation.
