YEREVAN. – Armenia's Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan does not see necessity in deployment of peacekeepers in the Karabakh conflict zone, he said during a press conference on Wednesday.
The Minister recalled that Karabakh dispute is the only conflict in the world where ceasefire is maintained by the parties. Minister Ohanyan said that relative peace is maintained thanks to skills, professionalism and high morale of the Armenian soldiers.
“The opponent is constantly violating ceasefire, but our units take preventive actions and give an adequate response. I think there is no necessity in peacekeepers,” Ohanyan told reporters.
