YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will leave for a working visit to Sochi on Friday.

On Saturday he will meet with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, president's press service reported.

The Armenian side expressed readiness to hold a trilateral meeting with the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan to discuss peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict as well as situation resulted in recent escalation provoked by Azerbaijan.

“Being confident that there is no alternative to fair and peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, Armenian side has always voiced support for holding summits,” the statement reads.
