Official Yerevan is waiting for Ankara’s real readiness for Armenia-Turkey normalization process, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian stated at a meeting with his Georgian counterpart Grigol Vashadze in Tbilisi.
“Since the Turkish Parliament blocked the protocols several months ago, the Armenia-Turkey normalization process is on hold now. The preconditions set by Turkey caused the process to be suspended,” Nalbandian said.
As for a possible mediation in the peace process, the Minister said official Yerevan will positively welcome the mediation of any country, as it will be of benefit to the Armenian-Turkish relations. However, Yerevan first expects official Ankara to be ready for a progress in the process,” Georgia-Online reports.
