STEPANAKERT. – There is a decline in the number of ceasefire violations at the frontlines of the border between the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) and Azerbaijan, informed the NKR MOD press service.  

The adversary violated the ceasefire, on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces, around 40 times from Monday night to early Tuesday morning. 

During this time, more than 500 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian positions, and by way of different-caliber rifle weaponry, the NKR Defense Army reported. 

As a result of the decline in the number of ceasefire violations, however, the tension on the frontline has eased.

The Defense Army vanguard units strictly adhere to the ceasefire and continue to confidently monitor the border situation along the entire length of the frontlines.
