YEREVAN. – The meeting in Sochi will have a positive outcome, although it will hardly rule out the incidents at the line of contact, Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The trilateral meeting of presidents was aimed at explaining the Azerbaijani side that any attempt to settle Karabakh conflict by force is unacceptable, and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs will condemn Baku's intentions.

“The main goal of the meeting was to reaffirm that there is no military solution to the conflict. During the trilateral meeting, Armenian president by presenting clear arguments and asking rhetorical question put an end to Aliyev's aspirations and once again revealed the true face of the Azerbaijani propaganda,” said Sharmazanov, who is also spokesperson for RPA party.

The meeting was a victory for the regional stability, he added.

Presidents of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan met in Sochi on August 10 to discuss settlement of Karabakh conflict.
