YEREVAN. – At least 40 Yazidi children have been killed in Iraq, deputy chairman of the Armenian Union of Yazidis Khadir Adjoyan said quoting UNICEF data.
One of the letters of Yazidi organizations has reached Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, he said.
“In his answer as of August 7, Secretary General expressed his deep concern over the actions of terrorist group the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant against the Yazidi people. He also welcomed humanitarian assistance that was dropped in Iraq's north,” Adjoyan added.
He said the most important thing for Yazidis is support by weapons so that terrorist groups could be thrown away from their territory.
Khadir Adjoyan also said they were supported by France, Germany, Sweden and Norway, but the most considerable assistance was provided by the United States.
