The person, who fired shots in the direction of the Turkish embassy in Moscow, is of Armenian origin, reported the Moscow-based Moskovskiy Komsomolets daily.

According to the daily, Dobry Les JSC CEO Artur Mirzoyan, 43, fired shots—with a hunting gun—at the coat of arms of the Turkish republic outside the embassy, in the early morning hours on Monday.

But the man could not hide. The police, who patrol important administrative buildings, immediately reacted to the sounds of the shots and noticed the escaping person on videos cameras.

The man was detained some time thereafter, but he does not provide details on the motives for his action.
