Venezuela destroyed an aircraft which crossed the border from Colombia, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

The Cessna plane was downed after entering the airspace of Venezuela’s Apure State, and the fate of the aircraft’s crew is still unknown.

But this is not the first time when Venezuela has destroyed border trespassing planes that have appeared in its airspace.

In October 2013, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro had approved a respective law.
