The information on huge air tax arrears accumulated by the Armavia airline is untrue, Press Secretary Nana Avetisova told NEWS.am. She pointed out that the information on assignments to the state budget is available at the end of each quarter.

“We do not know how the information became available to the press, and the company has not such arrears,” she said.

According to press reports the Armavia airline’s air tax arrears have totaled 1bn AMD.

Last year, the RA Government decided to include the air tax, 10,000 AMD, in the ticket price. The ticket-selling companies pledged to transfer the funds to the state budget.
