YEREVAN. – Armenia Prosecutor General Gevorg Kostanyan paid a visit to Tavush Region, which borders Azerbaijan.

Kostanyan held a consultation with the respective regional heads of the Prosecutor General’s Office, National Security Service (NSS), Police, territorial administration agencies, and the Ministries of Emergency Situations, and Defense.

The discussants conferred on the criminal cases that are filed, the avenues for making a proper assessment of such cases, and the measures that need to be taken for their prevention, informed the Prosecutor General’s Office press service.

The Armenian attorney general also commissioned the NSS Department of Investigation to conduct an inquiry into the criminal case that has been filed in connection with the recent incidents that occurred in several sections of Armenia’s state border with Azerbaijan.
