The current health condition of Russian-Armenian businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan, who is under detention in Moscow, is stable, his close friend Matsak Poladyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Levon Hayrapetyan’s condition was very bad on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday night, he was transferred to a civic hospital, where he gave samples, injections were made. Now, he is in normal condition, but he is very depressed psychologically,” he said.

In Poladyan’s words, Hayrapetyan’s attorneys have high hopes that on September 15, the Armenian businessman and benefactor will be released directly from the courtroom.

“The lawyers say that there is not a speck of crime. That’s why we have high hopes that the restraining order [for Hayrapetyan] will be commuted,” he added.

Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him: embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering. To note, however, even though Hayrapetyan has health problems, he is still kept in prison.
