Turkey’s newly elected President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced, during his visit to Azerbaijani capital city Baku, that the Karabakh issue is an important topic of their agenda.

During Wednesday’s news conference following his meeting with Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Erdogan stressed that they had discussed the future steps that need to be taken on the Karabakh issue, reported Ensonhaber website of Turkey.

The Turkish president added that, after Baku, they will demand from NATO—specifically, at the NATO summit in the Welsh capital city, Cardiff—that the promises made to Azerbaijan, and concerning the Karabakh issue, be fulfilled.
