YEREVAN. – In August 2014, a 34 percent increase in passenger flow was observed at Zvartnots International Airport of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, as compared to August 2013, informed the “Armenia” International Airports” CJSC press service.

In August of this year, the airport served 265,391 passengers, against 197,957 of past August.

Furthermore, the number of flights rose by 31 percent in the same period. Instead of the 1,726 flights last August, a total of 2,262 flights operated from the airport in August 2014.

In the case when 27 airlines conducted regular flights to Zvartnots in July 2013, this number has reached 33, at present.

In addition, most of these airlines have increased their flight frequencies to all destinations which, in turn, resulted in the reduction of airplane ticket prices.
