Amendments were made in Section 2 of the Greek bill on inciting violence on racism, or on the grounds of racism.
Accordingly, any attempt to disrespect the genocide of the Armenians, or the Greeks, shall be considered a crime.
Hripsime Harutyunyan, who is Chief Editor of the Armenian-language Azad Or daily of Greece, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
She also informed that the first parliamentary voting on the bill has already taken place.
“The final voting at the parliament of Greece will be held on the evening of [Friday,] September 5,” Harutyunyan added.
The Greek parliamentary debate on this bill took place on Tuesday.
