YEREVAN. – Armenia and Brazil are still working on finding areas for cooperation, Brazil's Ambassador Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
He noted that during last year's visit of Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan to Brazil, the officials of two states were studying the ways how parliaments can work. Ambassador said such visits are a great instrument for development of relations.
The sides can definitely develop ties on healthcare, agriculture and in particular education, Ambassador said, adding that exchange between researchers exists, but it should become systematic.
“There are Armenian professors teaching in Brazil and Armenian students going there,” he said.
Edson Marinho Duarte Monteiro stressed importance of cultural contacts. Armenia hosted concert of Brazilian music, and it is planned to organize screenings of Brazilian movies, he emphasized.
The 192nd anniversary of Brazil's independence was marked in Yerevan on Tuesday.
