The supporters of Russian-Armenian businessman and benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan, who is under detention in Moscow, on Tuesday assembled outside the Russian embassy in Brussels, and protested Hayrapetyan’s arrest.
The demonstration was attended by several dozen people who, holding the businessman’s photographs and wreaths, stood outside the embassy building and demanded the release of Hayrapetyan, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the benefactor’s Facebook account.
Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him: embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering. To note, even though Hayrapetyan has health problems, he is still kept in prison.
