YEREVAN. – Armenian lawmakers started a session on Wednesday by thanking their Greek counterparts for adopting law criminalizing denial of genocides, including the Armenian Genocide.
“We are grateful to the parliament of Greece for adoption of this law,” Speaker Galust Sahakyan said.
The Greek parliament on Tuesday adopted law criminalizing the Armenian Genocide denial.
An anti-racism bill provides for stricter punishment for individuals and political parties that engage in racism or incite racist violence.
