YEREVAN. – Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan received Governor Josef Novotný of the Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) Region of the Czech Republic.
Abrahamyan noted that Armenian-Czech Republic cooperation is developing with success, informed the Press Office of the Government of Armenia.
“Armenia is interested in the development of cooperation with the Czech Republic. The Government of Armenia stands ready to assist in any initiative to invigorate trade and economic ties and deepen intercultural cooperation,” the Armenian PM said.
In particular, the Premier underscored the need to develop collaboration between Armenia’s Vayots Dzor and the Karlovy Vary Region, in tourism and glass-making.
In turn, Novotný stressed that the Czech regional governors likewise highlight the need for closer ties with the regions of Armenia.
The interlocutors stressed the importance of holding a business forum, and pointed to the current Yerevan session of the Armenian-Czech Intergovernmental Committee.
In addition, the Karlovy Vary governor proposed to organize exhibitions, in Armenia and in the Czech Republic, to present the history and culture of the two countries.
At the end of the talk, Hovik Abrahamyan asked Josef Novotný to relay his invitation to the Czech PM to visit Armenia.
