Azerbaijan keeps on blackmailing the world, and such a policy carried out by Baku bears fruits, Stepan Safaryan, Chairman of the Heritage parliamentary faction, told NEWS.am, commenting on the situation in the Karabakh conflict zone after the Armenian-Russian-Azerbaijani meeting in Saint Petersburg.

By violating the ceasefire immediately after the meeting, Azerbaijan demonstrates they are ready to violate any arrangements if necessary. “The point is the world community accepts the blackmail. Instead of giving a harsh response, Moscow states it is ready to purchase three times more Azerbaijani gas,” the expert notes. He deems that Azerbaijan’s main objective is to test Armenia’s reaction. “Thus, both Yerevan and Stepanakert, as well as the world community, should respond adequately to Azerbaijan for it to realize that its moves cannot remain unpunished,” Safaryan stated. He also emphasized that one should not expect strict condemnation of Azerbaijan as long as the world has geopolitical expectations from Baku.

The other day Azerbaijan once again violated the ceasefire, which claimed lives from both sides. Azerbaijan’s provocation followed the Armenian-Russian-Azerbaijani presidential meeting in Saint Petersburg. However, Moscow has not responded to Baku’s provocation yet.
