According to the preliminary information reported by the RA Statistical Service, the consumer price index was 107.6% this January-May as compared with the corresponding period last year.

This January, the consumer price index was 107% as compared with last January, reaching its peak level, 108.4%, this January-March. Thereafter, lower information rates were recorded. However, the price behavior during the base period mainly accounts for that.

Last year, from January on, the monthly consumer price index shows the following: since consumer prices were mainly falling last June-August, the consumer price index may be expected to rise this June-August. Inflation rates can be expected to slow down after this August.
