Armenia’s economy is gradually recovering, though the main challenges are still ahead, Head of the WB office in Yerevan Aristomene Varoudakis said at his June 21 meeting with RA Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan.

Mr. Varoudakis is completing his mission in Armenia, the RA Parliament press service informed NEWS.am.

Aristomene Varoudakis called the bilateral cooperation mutually beneficial. The cooperation was established when Hovik Abrahamyan was RA Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Territorial Administration, he said. Mr. Varoudakis pointed out the effective work and healthcare development programs in the regions.

The sides discussed the recent global crisis and its impact on Armenia. Speaker Abrahamyan stressed WB’s assistance to anti-crisis programs. The two also touched upon the regional problems.
