June 22, Naira Zohrabyan, Chairwoman of the Standing Committee on European Integration, RA Parliament, received Poland’s Ambassador to Armenia Zdzislaw Raczynski. The sides discussed issues of Armenia’s integration in the European Neighborhood Policy and ones related to the Eastern Partnership project.

Naira Zohrabyan stressed the importance of the project as an instrument of closer political and economic cooperation with the EU. She expressed concern over the delayed parliamentary cooperation, the RA Parliament press service informed NEWS.am. Ambassador Raczynski shared the Armenian MP’s opinion.

As Eastern Partnership is a joint initiative of Poland and Sweden, Zohrabyan stressed Poland’s role in “moving forward the four fundamental platforms of the project.”

Raczynski restated his country’s position, noting that Poland will do its utmost to move forward the Eastern Partnership format.

Naira Zohrabyan also spoke of facilitation of visa requirements between Armenia and EU, referring to the Eastern Partnership program. Ambassador Raczynski stressed that will no efforts will be spared to relax visa requirements and cut the visa fee for students, scientists and certain sections of the population.

 Zdzislaw Raczynski officially invited Naira Zohrabyan to visit Poland.
