The Italian Finance Guard confiscated counterfeit €50 banknotes worth more than 17 million euros.

The counterfeit money was found in a truck, and during a routine inspection of vehicles in the province of Caserta, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

The confiscated banknotes were very well made, and therefore it would have been difficult for the ordinary consumers know that these banknotes were fake, the Adnkronos agency reported.

As a result of the ensuing investigation, one man is arrested, and he is charged with making, storage, and distribution of counterfeit money.
