YEREVAN. – Turkey will definitely make certain proposals to the Armenians ahead of the centennial of the Armenian Genocide, editor of US-based California Courier newspaper Harut Sassounian said.

The editor said he is supportive of shifting Armenians' demands in relation to the genocide acknowledgment to legal field.

“We cannot demand genocide recognition 100 years in a row: recognition itself will give nothing. Our demands have become senseless and we should put forward demands in court,” he noted.

The Armenians should do everything to keep the Turkish government under pressure “so that to make them sit at negotiating table and listen to our demands”.

“The Turkish government is ready for some concessions, as we are 'headache' for them,” Sassounian emphasized.
