YEREVAN. – Armenia can have good relations with Russia and at the same time improve ties with Europe and the United States, American publicist said.

Harut Sassounian, editor of California Courier newspaper, is convinced that Armenia is in Russia's sphere of influence. Armenia is economically, militarily, politically and culturally connected with Russia.

“Whether we like it or not, this is geopolitical environment in which Armenia found itself. Once Armenia needs weapons, will buy it from Russia, not the United States or Europe, once Armenia wants to buy gas, it can not be supplied by Europe or the United States, and it will be granted by Russia,” he told reporters in Yerevan.

Russia definitely wants to draw Armenia completely in its sphere of influence, but “our interests require to have good relations with all countries”, Sassounian resumed.
