Armenia's Ministry of Education Armen Ashotyan visited the Estonia's largest and one of the most prestigious universities, the University of Tartu.

The Armenian minister met with the rector, staff and faculty to discuss issues related to expansion of inter-university cooperation, namely, students and faculty exchange and implementation of joint research programs.

The Estonian side expressed readiness to assist Armenian universities to be included in the European educational projects. The Armenian delegation also visited the lecture room after Khachatur Abovyan.

Minister Ashotyan delivered lecture on prospects for EU-Armenia relations in the field of educational opportunities. The minister briefed participants on the Armenian Genocide, Armenian-Turkish relations. The Armenian minister answered the questions that were specifically related to Armenia's foreign policy.
