YEREVAN. – An information technology (IT) company support fund is planned to be opened in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh.
Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) Director Bagrat Yengibaryan told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
As per Yengibaryan, this fund is expected to start its function shortly after the opening of the Artsakh Information Technology Center, which is slated for opening by the year’s end.
In line with the fund, a credit support is planned to be provided to local start-up teams, and the companies that wish to open a branch in the NKR.
The EIF director added that the funding will be provided by way of a special fund, for which EIF expects assistance from donors.
“I hope that we will be able to announce the first donors at the opening of the IT center in Artsakh’s capital city of Stepanakert,” Bagrat Yengibaryan noted.
