STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), or Artsakh, President Bako Sahakyan has issued a congratulatory address to teachers, and in connection with the World Teachers’ Day, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

“Dear teachers:

“On behalf of the Artsakh Republic authorities and myself, I cordially congratulate you on the professional holiday.

“You educate and raise the future citizens of our republic, and along with imparting knowledge, you give them the first lessons of life, which determine the future of our Motherland and people to a great extent. Your painstaking work has a worthy contribution in building the independent statehood of Artsakh, its development, and strengthening.

“We are well aware of your difficult, accountable, and very gratifying work. Whenever and wherever each and every one of us meet our teachers, we always approach them with deep respect, eager to be somehow useful, to convey the warmth and care that we gained years ago. It is a centuries-old attitude that our people have always had towards the teacher’s profession.

“Having an educated and a progressive generation is a call of the times and a pivotal task we have to fulfill. For this very reason the state constantly focuses on education and science.

“Dear friends:

“I congratulate you once again on the Teachers’ Day and wish peace, great health, happiness, and all the best to you and your families,” the NKR President’s message reads.
