YEREVAN. – A policy of unjustified destruction of wolves is conducted in Armenia, animal rights activist Karine Panosyan stated at a press conference on Saturday.
As per Panosyan, there are several dozen endangered animals in the world.
“I fear that there will be no more wolves left in Armenia in several years. The wolf maintains the ecological environment of the forest, it helps that it [i.e., the forest] corresponds to the bioclimatic environment which is necessary for human existence, too.
“But we [, Armenia residents,] are destroying the wolves, since we have violated their environment by not overseeing hunting in the forest,” she noted.
In actual fact, according to Karine Panosyan, there are no animals left in Armenia’s forests, and therefore not having a choice, the wolves are attacking on domestic animals.
