The exchange rate of one United States dollar (USD) has crossed the threshold of 40 Russian rubles (RUB) at the Moscow stock exchange, which is unprecedented in the history of Russia, Gazeta.ru reported.
According to the source, the USD 1 exchange rate increased by 5 kopecks and amounted to RUB 40.0535.
The Central Bank of Russia raised the currency passage limits by 10 kopecks making them reach RUB 44.5/$1.
