The health condition of Russian-Armenian businessman Levon Hayrapetyan, who is under house arrest, is not good, the benefactor’s relatives told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
They informed that Hayrapetyan has cancer, and his illness has grown worse in recent months.
“Levon Hayrapetyan is at home now. Specialists are invited from different places to figure out his condition,” our interlocutor said.
On October 3, a Moscow district court ruled in favor of releasing Hayrapetyan from prison and placing him under house arrest.
Levon Hayrapetyan, 65, was detained in a Moscow airport on July 15 and subsequently arrested. On July 24, the Russian Federation Investigation Committee brought two criminal charges against him: embezzlement or misuse, and money laundering. And on September 12, the Russian-Armenian businessman was charged with fraud, too.
Even though Levon Hayrapetyan has health problems, he was kept in prison until recently. Hayrapetyan’s detention will terminate on December 15.
