The European Union threatened to renew duties on aluminum foil from China and Brazil for five years, Bloomberg reported.
However, the agency says this measure will not be imposed against Armenia. The EU will consider whether to impose 30% duties on Chinese and Brazilian exporters.
Back in 2009 the Union imposed anti-dumping duty imposed on certain aluminum foil imports originating in Armenia, Brazil and the People’s Republic of China.
The duties against China and Brazil were due to lapse tomorrow along with a 13.4 percent levy against Armenia and will now stay in place during the probe, which can last as long as 15 months.
