The United States are focused on struggle against Islamic State, official representative of State Department Jen Psaki said asked whether Washington has Assad regime in its target list.
“Our position hasn’t changed. Our focus is on ISIL. We certainly are continuing to support the Syrian opposition, but I don’t have anything new on that regard,” she said during a briefing in Washington.
Psaki's remark came in response to a question about Washington's strategy on Assad regime taking into account the recent statement made by Turkish PM Ahmet Davutoglu.
In his recent interview Davutoglu said Turkey can send ground troops into Syria if U.S. targets Assad regime.
