YEREVAN. – Armenia's Economy Minister Karen Chshmarityan on Tuesday received Belarus Ambassador Stepan Sukhorenko to discuss agenda of the meeting of Armenian-Belarusian joint intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation that will take place in Minsk on October 23-24.
During the meeting, Minister Chshmarityan noted that intergovernmental commission is an important platform to review economic ties and develop new ways of cooperation. He stressed the need for improvement of business environment for Armenian and Belarusian entrepreneurs.
For his part, Ambassador Sukharenko said the meetings of intergovernmental commissions help to assess the cooperation results, and brought example of Armenia's imports of agricultural equipment from Belarus.
The parties agreed to organize meetings between Armenian Minister and representatives of relevant structures of Belarus during his visit to Minsk.
