YEREVAN. – There is no need to say in lieu of Gagik Tsarukyan whether the non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) chairman will be on hand at Friday’s rally. PAP member and former MP Vardan Bostanjyan stated the aforementioned on Wednesday.

“[But] nothing has been ruled out,” he noted.

Bostanjyan added that the authorities do not work chaotically at all and understand what to do to stay in power.

“The establishment knows what it wants, and it does what it wants as long as the [Armenian] body politic comes to terms with it,” the ex-MP stated.

In his view, the recent developments in connection with the amendments to the Law on Turnover Tax could serve as a good example.

“They [, the authorities, ] postponed [these amendments] until February 1. [This] means [that] even though they boast that they don’t fear the protests, they give way when sensing danger,” Vardan Bostanjyan stated.

The three non-government parliamentary factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, and Heritage) will hold a rally in capital city Yerevan on Friday.
