YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, who is in the US on a working visit, on Friday met with representatives from the Armenian Assembly of America (AAA).The interlocutors discussed the avenues for the strengthening of Armenian-American relations and the development of economic ties, and regional matters.

The PM thanked the AAA representatives for their pro-Armenian activities, and underscored their role in the deepening of Armenian-American relations, informed the Press Office of the Government of Armenia.

On the same day, Abrahamyan also met with Frank Heemskerk, an Executive Director at the Board of the World Bank (WB) Group. The PM highly praised the WB’s role and assistance in the implementation of reforms in Armenia, and expressed a conviction that this cooperation will further develop and deepen.

Heemskerk, for his part, highlighted the continuity of the productive Armenia-World Bank collaboration, and stressed that the WB will continue assisting in the ongoing reforms in Armenia.

The parties discussed numerous matters of mutual interest and regarding cooperation in the future.
