YEREVAN. – Armenian-American relations are developing rapidly, and the Diaspora plays an important role here, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said in Washington.
“I believe that deepening of economic ties a priority issue, and this needs consistent work,” Abrahamyan said during a meeting with Armenian community representatives.
Prime Minister stressed that Armenia feels stronger thanks to the support from Diaspora. It is difficult to overestimate patriotic activities of the Armenian organizations and unions in U.S., he said, adding that the organizations are constantly pushing pro-Armenian programs in different American structures and are protecting interests of Nagorno-Karabakh, government's press service reported.
“We are offering Diaspora representatives to establish partner relations and are ready to provide opportunities for investments. We are working on a system that will enable Diaspora Armenians to run profitable business in their homeland. The Armenian government provides guarantees,” he assured.
